Church Ministry Subsidies

To donate to any of the following ministries, simply click on their titles and designate your contribution with the appropriate heading when checking out.

Each of the subsidies listed here is a 4 year commitment, declining by 25% each year.

• Mennonite Japanese Christian Fellowship | $8,075

Gerald Neufeld has been called from being a mission worker in Japan to being a Japanese pastor in Canada. Japanese congregations are small. This subsidy helps support their pastor as they try to become self-sufficient.

• The Karen Ministry at Living Hope Christian Fellowship | $6,055

The Karen group of people are refugees from Myanmar. There are at least 100 Karen people at Living Hope. This subsidy is to assist with transportation costs in bringing people to church.

• LifeBridge Ministries | $9,075

LifeBridge helps people who are in recovery from substance addiction to come to know Jesus and to walk with him. This helps cover ministry costs and for the director, Keith St. Jean.  More Info

Annual Budget Needs:

Each item includes the Budget Amount and the associated MCBC Staff and Office expenses.

• Youth and Young Adult Ministry | $45,340

You can help youth and young adults building life-long relationships with each other and with Jesus. You can also support a network for youth pastors to get together.

• Pastor/Spouse Retreat Grant | $9,965

Encourage your pastors and their spouses to get away once a year to uplift each other and to be built up.

• Women’s Ministry | $4,855

Two annual gatherings for women to build relationships and be inspired in their walk with Jesus.

• History Update Project | $17,765

MCBC has a dynamic story that needs to be told. It has been 20 years since the MCBC history book Frontier Challenge was written. This time it won’t just be a book. It will be a website, video interviews, along with a printed version, ready for MCBC’s 75th Anniversary celebration on March 2 & 3, 2012.

Church Plant Subsidies:

To help new congregations get started:

• Abbotsford Vietnamese Mennonite Church | $3,360

They meet at Emmanuel Mennonite Church and are a church plant of the Vancouver Vietnamese Mennonite Church.

• Living Hope Sullivan/Panorama Church Multiplication | $86,765

This is newest outreach of Living Hope Christian Fellowship in Surrey. We helping them pay for their pastoral staff and a place for their worship gatherings.

• Sherbrooke Korean Mennonite Fellowship | $1,680

This is a church plant subsidy to help new congregations get started.
