Camp Squeah update

Camp Squeah reports,

We’re nearing the end of the summer camps season and give thanks for the staff who have served this summer. We are so grateful for each individual who committed join our team this summer whether for the whole or part. People have been stretched, in some cases, uncomfortably. We pray that each one has felt supported and cared for and will look back on their experience and see both God’s provision and guidance throughout.  We have one more week to go, and are praying for a few women to step forward to support our cabin leaders as overnight support staff. Please continue to pray for our staff that they would finish the summer strong. Also please pray for Tim Larson, his son Maerk, and Rob Tiessen and his children Josiah and Nyah, as they spend the next 10 days in Guatemala serving together with Impact Ministries in Tactic.

September is just around the corner and with the return of School groups and weekend church retreats, our Kitchen is feeling the pressure. Attila, our beloved Head Cook is returning to Hungary (with hopes to return next spring) and our assistant cooks are concluding their summer service. This means our Food Service manager will be overloaded. We urgently need to hire a Head Cook and Assistant Cook to start September 1. Please contact Reid@squeah.com if you are a team player who loves to cook. Full-time and/or part-time roles are available.

Our Paddle-a-thon fundraiser is coming soon - September 24. Receipt books are available from Camp Squeah,  MCBC office, and  Peace Church office. More information including registration/waiver forms and the ability to donate directly is a available here. View an ‘oldie but goodie’ paddle-a-thon teaser.
