Camp Squeah Update

March is here, and the snow has melted, and while we are officially still in Covid-lockdown mode, we are carefully moving forward with plans to  be open (Lord willing) this summer; even if it won’t be a return to ‘normal’.  For a quick glimpse into what’s been going on at Squeah, including some of our current needs and what we’re looking forward to, view our Camp Squeah AGM Video Report.

And if you’re not familiar with our Facebook page online, here are a few announcements we’ve recently posted:

  1. “Camp Squeah summer camps are open for enrollment! Head to https://www.squeah.com/camps/register to sign up for our 2021 season. At this time we are assuming camps will run with some COVID restrictions so they will look a little different from normal. Our kids camps (ages 10-16) are called Go Beyond and will take place at our overnighter sites (per BC health regulations). There are 3 family camp options too. Check it out!”
  2. Naturally, if we plan to minister to campers and guests this summer we’re going to need summer staff.  “If you are someone who loves Jesus and would love to serve in an outdoor camp setting, sharing the good news of Jesus to children and families, consider signing up today! Online staff applications are now available: http://squeah.com/camps/guide/staff-volunteers/summer-staff/.
  3. And if you or somebody you know could use a reminder why serving at camp is such a valuable way to spend a summer, check out this great video “Why work at Camp?” recently created by our Mennonite Camping Association friends. How many times do you recognize Squeah?

As always,  if you have questions or are wondering how you might be involved contact us via email info@squeah.com or call 1-800-380-2267.
